the creator of A Strange Attitude.

I’m an interdisciplinary artist and designer based in New York City. My not clothing/accessory work is available at sophia-holland.com

I began learning how to sew in 2009, and have always been drawing, designing, and imagining my own clothes.

I started this brand to create clothes I love and would want to wear, in a way that reduces fashion waste. Everything is made with majority materials that would have been discarded. Exceptions are made for things like zippers, where I may have to purchase new but I still look for the most sustainable source.

Sustainably shopping is important to me. I try not to over consume, to carefully consider the clothing I am purchasing, and to buy second hand or small business as much as possible. I wanted to create a brand that aligns with my personal shopping habits and values.
